A dog post

I'm not particularly a dog lover. In fact, I don't like dogs very much; I prefer cats but don't go in for cat posts. Nevertheless, this is too bizarre not to post. In the words of Jennifer (of the "favourite links"):
"In case you were looking for a video of a dog in a tutu dancing the merengue... Here you go."

Oooh, it's a slippery slope you're on Father. The Catholic blogosphere is starting to resemble a petshop! ;-)

Father,

LOL. Not at the prancing pooch, but at what you said about preferring cats to dogs.

Last night, on the drive home from Mass (FSSP), the subject of cat antics came up in light of an unfortunate happening at the home of friends (long story) regarding their feline companions. Anyway, my two sons, who had just served Solemn High Mass, were falling over themselves in an effort to come up with the wittiest comment on the incident.

I said, "Better be careful, you know the Holy Father is a cat person."

My wife replied, "Yeah, and if he were a dog person, he would've celebrated the Latin Mass a loooong time ago!"

Needless to say, she's never read your blog!

"I told him I had been that morning at a meeting of the people called Quakers, where I had heard a woman preach. Johnson: "Sir, a woman's preaching is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all.""
